Awakened by the reality of resistance!

12/14/2011

When you are awakened by resistance you have one of two choices to make.

One, you can give in to the resistant force allowing fear to motivate your steps.
Two , you can use the resistance to empower your move forward.

When you are meet with a new challenge resistance always comes. If you are never faced with resistance you are stagnant and their is no growth.  The more resistance you face the bigger opportunity you have for success.

Resistance goes and comes, destined to appear  when the next challenge comes. Learn to recognize it as an indicator you are stepping up to a bigger game in life or business.

People do not move forward because they give in to resistance. Even though resistance is intended to keep you safe; use resistance as an indicator to move forward with the assurance you will have success. It will always be there as a second nature, like fear and frustration or security and peace.

It's a choice!

"The Do-ER"

"The critical ingredient is getting off your butt and doing
something. It's as simple as that. A lot of people have ideas, but
there are few who decide to do something about them now. Not Tomorrow.
Not next week. But today. The true entrepreneur is a doer. not a dreamer."

Will you become a doer this year instead of a dreamer!

I love this little guy, reminds me of children at play and he won the game.

What will it take for you win your game in 2011?  Most of us set our goals as the end of the year approaches, set a deliberate plan and start to implement our plan immediately in the new year.

As time creeps into the cold January, long nights and most time dreary no sun days, our goals begin to be less important.  We may even start to make revisions.

We start to review them, shorten them, even toss them out and start over. They now quickly become archives of all the goals past. How do you break the cycle?

Three things you can do;
  1. Make attainable goals first, what can you realistically accomplish in January.
  2. Stretch yourself a bit on the February-April goals. The days are becoming longer, (if you live in my neck of the woods North America), the sun shines most days and energy levels are higher.  This is the time to lay the foundation for those "out of the comfort zone" goals.
  3. Digging in deep May-December goals. Really stretch out of your comfort zone. Lay a strategic plan to accomplish each goal or activity with specific action plan and results. Devise a time frame with absolutes.

Decide this year to be your year, accomplish and produce. Move forward with a specific course of action. Set realistic attainable goals, focus on every aspect of your life. Don't sacrifice fun and entertainment, include them in your goals. What is the absolute most fun you can have this year. Set a course of action to do that fun thing and mark it off your list, then celebrate.

Oh, yes one more thing, it requires you get off your butt to accomplish what you put down on paper. So stand take a deep breath , focus and get started.

Prune to promote growth

Pruning for health business
Picture
Just like pruning the vine to produce good fruit; your business must be pruned of all programs that may be standing in the way of you promoting your business

As a new or even seasoned marketer you may tend to hold onto every program or PDF Doc you have purchased since the beginning of your business.  Thinking you will use them tomorrow.

Now don't get me wrong there is nothing wrong with holding on to old things.  But are they bogging you down or are they promoting your growth?

Just like the gardener pruning the vine, the bad wood must be cut away to make the vine healthy to produce good fruit; look at your business the same way.   Periodically analyze what you have and if you find it is not relevant to the process, prune it.

When the vine is over grown with foliage, the nourishment is directed to the foliage instead of the fruit which unsatisfactory fruit will be harvested. Even if there will be a harvest.

Same with your business, if you are crowding your business with programs that are not relevant you will feel anxiety, fear, and frustration.  You will be producing. Instead of working toward becoming a successful business owner you will spend time trying to heal from overwhelm.

Prune periodically, what do you really need in the process. Make a list of what you will need this week to get the job done.  Make a vow to use no more.

You don't have to throw it away, but at least put it at a distance so you won't be tempted until it's needed.

Even if you are not building a business on line, you can become consumed with daily task and loose site of the goal.  Decide what is important for the day. focus on that, prune the rest  and do no more.

Let me know how you did, leave me a comment.

What are the Obstacles holding you back.

We do not always recognize the obstacles holding us back.  If we did we could simply acknowledge the obstacles and move forward. Until we become aware and accept it as a stumbling block we cannot begin the process of change.

Becoming aware of the obstacles, or what is holding you back, and finding a solution, in order for you to move forward can be as simple as keeping a journal each day until you have a breakthrough.

Journaling is a self-discovery process that helps you identify the challenges or obstacles holding you back.

Begin with 15 minutes, write about anything. Do not change spelling or punctuation, that is not important. The important thing is for you to write your thoughts.  Pour out your feelings, emotions, what ever is on your mind.  Do this for 15 minutes every day for a week.  See what revelations you discover.

Once you discover, acknowledge the challenge or obstacle holding your back, you can then begin the process of changing and moving forward.

Overcoming Obstacles

An Obstacle according to Webster is something that impedes progress or achievement.

Overcome obstacles at any stage of life whether you are semi-retired, have lost your job, or just needing a part time job may slow your progress for a while, but it should never stop you from achieving

It is vital for you to see accomplishments in overcoming obstacles each day however small they may be. It will uplift and encourage you to tackle the bigger jobs that may lie ahead.

One simple step you can start today is make a daily to do list. List according to importance, making sure to check each off as you complete them.  Seeing even the smallest of task accomplished will boost your confidence and encourage you to move forward.

Isn't it is better to see some progress than none?

Les Brown said, "Wanting something is not enough, you must hunger for it. Your motivation must be absolutely compelling in order to overcome the obstacles that will invariable come your way."

As you move through your daily list, no matter how small, it is will boost your confidence.  Creating a hunger for you to do more,to achieve more, focusing on you steps one at a time until you have moved through the list.

Doing this every day will eventually bring about the desire to move forward. Success will be yours.

Don't forget to have a reward at the end of the day.
